SEMINAR DIRECTOR: JANIE VOGEL
Janie Vogel is a proven Public Relations and Communications professional with
more than 20 years of experience in Public Relations, Driver Management,
Sports and Event Marketing. A member of “Cambridge Who’s Who Among
Executive and Professional Women,” Vogel has led promotional and public relations
programs including comprehensive driver development, complete event
management, deadline and feature writing, media relations, publishing of
brochures and magazines, website creation and management, marketing,
sponsorship solicitations, hospitality and budgeting. Earning a master’s degree in
Motorsports Marketing and a bachelor’s degree in Media Relations from Kent
(OH) State University, Vogel’s preparation for succeeding in the business of
motorsports runs deep. Owning her own business, ProRace Marketing, Vogel has
refined her skills to a sharp point, representing motorsports names such as two-
time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Tony Stewart, NHRA Champions Cruz and
Tony Pedregon, Arie Luyendyk Jr.,Jaques Lazier, Chris Windom, Sean Guthrie,
and “The First Lady of Motorsports – Miss Hurst, Linda Vaughn,” among others,
as well as working with corporate giants like Mr. Gasket Company as Manager of
Communications, in charge of their sponsorship programs, new product
introductions, trade shows and media relations. Vogel has also been involved
with coordinating various non-racing related events, including being hand picked
to develop and promote a charity golf tournament for Cleveland Browns ace
quarterback Bernie Kosar, and helped to manage the PGA’s “World Series of
Golf,” civic events such as the Cleveland “Rib Burn-Off,” and sailing events such
as the world’s largest freshwater regatta, “Cleveland Race Week,” and Put-In-
Bay’s “Bay Week” Regatta (sailboats and power boats). Vogel was the
Creator/Publisher of an internationally distributed magazine, “Midget Racing
Magazine,” and was the Creator, Engineer and Host of the “Inside Racing” radio
show, produced and hosted in front of a live Indianapolis-based audience weekly
at the world-renowned watering hole, Union Jack Pub. She was also the
Creator/Publisher of ILikeRacing.com, a 14-year highly popular endeavor that
was one of the most comprehensive sources of racing information on the
Internet, pioneering the “Live Updates” type of race reporting. Currently, Vogel
is the Creator and Event Director for Lake Erie Boat Week (www.
LakeErieBoatWeek.com), a national boating festival taking place on Lake Erie in
2010, and is also the Creator and Publisher of MotorsportsLife.com,
GoRoadTripping.com and ILikeTheLake.com (under construction).

CANCELLATION POLICY:
* If you wish to cancel your registration in “The Business of Racing” seminar,
50% of your registration fee will be returned if the cancellation is received in
writing ONE WEEK PRIOR to the Seminar taking place. After that date, no
registration fee will be returned.
* If the seminar is cancelled by the Seminar Director for any reason at any
time, your registration fee will be returned in full.

“The Business of Racing” Driver Development Seminar includes in-depth
information on a variety of subjects intended to give any driver the tools they
need to succeed as a professional in auto racing, extensive Q & A after each
seminar topic, materials/handbook/CD of all seminar information, a meal, snacks,
beverages, PLUS one 30-minute personal coaching session via the telephone (pre-
scheduled) for the driver anytime during the month after that particular
seminar concludes. Drivers and parents will be asked ahead of time what
specific information they want to find out through this Seminar (based on the
topic they signed up for), and the Seminar topics will be adjusted and
customized to answer those questions. All ages and experience levels and
experience areas welcome (open-wheel, stock car, or drag racing).
